Kinderopvang is the general description for all forms of childcare in the Netherlands, although many types of childcare exists, from subsidised to private childcare to hiring in your own home. One of the challenges many parents face after having a child is going back to work. Whether full-time or part-time, leaving your child with a daycare, childminder or a nanny takes some getting used to.
We were traveling for the first time to Amsterdam with our 3 months old daughter. As you know, Amsterdam has a lot of things to do that can't be done with kids, so we decided to find a babysitter. We went online and found happy kidz company that has a various kinds of babysitters including hotels. Even though they had a minimum number of hours per day, happy kidz managed to fit into our schedule. The babysitter along with Bibi came to our hotel "Luxury Suites Amsterdam" and gave us a brief about their company, our babysitter Inge was very sweet and had great knowledge with infants. She took some time to bond with the baby and asked a lot of questions about her so she can get to know her on a personal level and we could immediately trust her. Inge was very flexible and offered all the help she could do. She also sent us pictures and updates of our daughter every hour when we were away. We also stayed at the W hotel and she babysat our daughter there. Very kind and trustworthy. We were so lucky to have found this company, it helped us enjoy our trip with and without our baby. We definitely recommend this company for any family that has kids and we will absolutely contact them again when we go to Amsterdam next time."
